I'm not a bird!!

Maddie was in one of her usual funks the other night. Nothing would please her, I suppose she was tired. Brian was trying to get her to eat her noodles because she hadn't eaten anything much all day. He decided to make a game of it and showed her how the baby bird eats the noodle like a worm. Then he tried to feed her like a bird too. She looked at him and said "No, Im not a bird"

Bone in my leg

Maddie was showing us how she can dance last night. She was having everyone clap while she danced what looked like clogging. Shes very good at that. When she finally tired out she plopped down in her chair and reached down and grabbed her leg and said "I got a bone in my leg". For those of you who do not understand that, Papa always says that when someone wants him to get up and do something but he doesnt feel like getting up.

BBees

The other day Papa was sitting on the porch and Maddie was playing around him. She picked up a container of BB's and asked him what it was. He said "Those are BB's." She threw them down so fast it took us a minute to realize what was going on. When Papa said BB's she heard Bee Bee's. She thought she had a bunch of bees in her hand.

Too much Dora

Maddie was trying to reach her magnetic letters on the fridge this morning. She squatted down and told me to come here. Then she said, "ok everybody stand up, stand up. Okay, ready? Now Jump." Then she jumped up to reach her letters. I'd say she was watching too much Dora and Diego. That exactly what they say when they want you to "help" them.

Cookies and Milk

Brian showed Maddie how to dip half a cookie into milk and bite it off. Well, he walked away and came back a few minutes later to find about 10 half cookies on the table. He didn't show her what to do with the other half.

Mommies bed, Mommies bed!!

I've avoided having Maddie sleep in my bed for almost 3 years. Now when I go to put her down for the night she says Mommies bed, Mommies bed. It is very dangerous to sleep with her in my bed....for me. She has some very powerful kicks during the night. She's not as bad as she used to be but i can still hear her hit the rails of her toddler bed sometimes at night. I know it has to hurt, those things are thick solid wood. But I guess anyone who can sleep through my snoring can endure anything. hehehe.

Not much

Maddie has learned to take off her diaper. She's never really been interested in taking her clothes off before. But now I have to keep pants on her or she will take it off. I just looked over at her and it seems im going to have to wash all her pacifiers. Since she doesnt have a diaper on shes stuck them where the sun dont shine. She likes to pretend shes a horsey. It started off with nice horse sounds and she would rear up and neigh. Now all she does is scream a high pitched scream. I can hardly take it. When i have a headache its like shes tearing out my brain.
